oh lucky you . i have been to that on 2 times its great . we went the other year over christmas it was lovely . i love the pool . can i come ? lol have a lovely time i know you will
We get signed in as guests sometimes for a day (hub's friend works there) at Center Parcs at Longleat. We always go to the Subtropical Paradise which we all love. Lots of water!! Slides, rapids, hot tubs, wave machine, and mostly all under cover so the weather doesn't stop us from spending the whole day in our cozzies. Our boys LOVE it, so I can rate that part of it definitely. The rest looks great too, although we've never used it. We want to go for longer and go cycling- they have every kind of bike set-up you might need for little ones, and loads of places to ride on the level through the forest. Sherwood must be as good?? Have fun!
We had been to the one at Elevedon forest before the fire, and the Lake district one at Christmas, both were very very good. We live not far from the Sherwood Forest one but have not been yet, so I cant comment on that one, however as I said, the others were excellent Iand I highly recommend Centre Parcs
We also went to Elveden forest before the fire (you didnt start it did you John) lol, but it was 14 years ago now. I enjoyed it but i did think it was a bit pricey once you were there. Some of the activities should have been included in the price imo, then again, it might be very different now and the pool is fantastic for the kids! I'd recommend it anyway.
Been to the one at the lakes loads of times - brilliant for a 4 year old - take him to make a pizza and do mini musketeers - my boys loved it - I couldn't get them out the pool!
I hope you enjoy it as much as everyone else. Hate to be the person to make a negative comment, but I thought it was dreadfully overpriced. We went for what was basically a long weekend in Sherwood forest the August before last. It rained continually and our chalet roof was leaking. The children loved it I have to say, but for the same amount of money the following year we had two weeks in keycamps in Florence. I thought the basic cost of centreparcswas too much, and with having to pay for all the 'activities' I just basically felt it was all a bit of a rip off. There is also something a little bit freaky about being in this completely unreal 'village' where everything is marketed as some sort of experience...the 'walk to the shop experience' , 'the swim experience' etc. I have never heard anyone with anything bad to say about centre parcs, so clearly I am alone on this one. A definate plus is that it all feels very clean and safe. I hope you enjoy your holiday (I'm sure you will).
