Morocco info

I'm going to Agadir in Morocco next week for a weeks holiday but am finding it really difficult to get any information about it. I would like to know the basics before I go, such as, what plugs do they use - European flat prongs or american style 2 prongs? Also my travel agent advised us to take sterling travellers cheques which I have now bought but I read on TripAdvisor that they are useless and credit cards are best. Any ideas? All info greatly appreciated, tia
