I went to Croatia in June 2006. Dubrovonik to be precise. I stayed with friends so can't help with the hotels but it is a great place to visit as long as you are not fixated on shopping. There are no big shops and supermarkets. The scenery and history is amazing and very interesting, there is sailing, water sking, beaches and swimming for teenagers and it is very hot and humid in summer. I would definitely recommend it and if you are a British passport holder you do not need to apply for a visa, you get a holiday visa stamp at the airport on arrival, much the same as the UK.
we did some clubbing, i think it was in pula..not bad nightlife, porec is good but expensive.
Me and the other half went to Rovinj - GORGEOUS!!! so pretty we lvoed it ppl not that frinedly but compared to london they were ok! lol
Croatia is beautiful. We stayed in Porec at the hotel valamar diamant everything was perfect so much so that for the first time in my life I am going back to the same place again. We took two teenage girls with us and they have nagged us to go back they had such a good time...lots of nice looking boys and nightlife kept them quiet.
Yes it is definitely worth visiting. Went there with the whole family and kids loved the water activities. We stayed at Copacabana in Dubrovnik. I suggest you try it there, I am sure you'll enjoy.
