We are thinking of going to Costa Rica, Pacific coast. I have poor mobility and want to avoid beaches with big waves. Playa Langosta would be a good resort but sufers go there, which suggests that there is a big well. It is near an estuary whcih generlly means cold water from a river. Does anyone know anything about the beaches on the north west coast of Costa Rica? Or any of them?
I have looked on trip advisor.

Well a quick google of 'costa rica beach' brought me to this site, if you scroll down you'll see that Matapalo is not suitable for surfing

Though you may be best going to your local library and seeing if there is a decent guide book to Costa Rica and have a thorough read of that.
