Destination inspiration!
13 Answers
Me and 5 friends are planning a summer holiday. We are all girls and are 24. We have all done the clubbing holiday and are now looking to go somewhere beautiful and quite relaxing but some of the girls don't want there to be no nightlife whatsoever to go to.
We are really trying to avoid any Magaluf/Kavos/Ayia Napa type places but also don't want the other extreme. We had thought Malta but the travel agents can't seem to agree whether there is no night life or enough nightlife for us. Can anyone help or suggest any other destinations, budget of about 400 leaving in June.
Thanks

Los C is quite enough but it is also close enough to PdLA to go clubbing.

Just done another quick search h/b you are talking about 410 pp for a week h/b flying from glasgow staying at the H10 Oasis Moreque in Los Christ. but that's with 3 rooms with 2 in each, total price 2,832.00 for the 6 of you including transfers that's 397 each with the discount, check it out at directline holidays.
Any Euro zone is expensive at the minute but Tenerife is not too bad.
We've been looking now for 4 months and can't decide and there's only two of us :-(

Try Sitges Spain. A laid back resort town with wonderful beaches and pedestrian streets full of bars and restaurents. You are only 20 min from Barcelona and the trains run every 15 min and cost is very reasonable. Last time I was there it was 4 euro round trip. Lots of hotels in area with breakfast included. Hotel Romantic was just 86 Euros for 2 people. I don;t know what a room for 4 or 6 would cost. You can access them on the internet at [email protected]. Nice staff and rooms, some with large terraces.
There's a lot more to Cyprus than Ayia Napa; Depending on the kind of thing you're looking for, there's everything from absolute peace & quiet in the depths of the countryside to 10 minutes from bars & clubs on the seafront. I guess you'll probably be looking for a beach; there's plenty of choice to the east of Limassol or either end of Paphos/Coral Bay, and if you want something a little quieter but still with plenty of places to eat & drink you could try ********, near Limassol, or Polis out on the west coast. The papers here (I live in Cyprus) are full of complaints from hotel owners about the lack of business, so you should be able to negotiate a good deal.
The resort of Lassi in Kefalonia is just perfect.
It's gorgeous, quiet, yet only a 5 minute taxi ride from the Capital City, (Argostoli) if you fancy a good night out.
It's also only a 10 minute drive from the Islands airport, so nice and easy if you've been out drinking on your last night, and are feeling a bit worse for wear, and no costly transfer fee's.
It's a heavenly place, and we look forward to our return visit in September.

Costa del Sol is worth a punt. Usually cheap deals on flights av to Malaga. Accommodation - can only recommend you search around - There are 'studio type' apartments - up to 6/7 sharing? in high rise hotels. Not fantastic on charm, but could help the budget side of things. OR book a villa! Most of the companies will do you a deal as they need the business (but do remember some might charge an extra large deposit for large same sex party).
Re nightlife.. Marbella/Puerto Banus are swish (but therefore, expensive too).. But Benalmadena PORT/Costa (Pueblo is inland and you would need taxis) - is 24hr/lots of night life :)
Torremolinos is another option (should get cheap deals on hotels etc).. but not that upmarket ;)
Sadly Euro is not good at moment - so the holiday might work out more expensive than say - Turkey (all my mates are going there this year to get more for thier money).
Have a great hol!
