Have to do 1 night stopover in Dubai re flight arrive 20hrs dept 0835am. Can Anyone recommend a hotel near airport and costing the earth! (3star) 1 adult 2 kids. has transfers to airport. Also what are UAE passport rules re expiry dates..mine expires sept 09. Travelling in June.Been told Ok for Europe but UAE ?

Most sources say passports must be valid for 6 months for the UAE though some say that for a short visit 3 months is OK.

I'd err on the safe side and renew now.
