I'm thinking of having my 30th on the IOW, there will be 8 of us aged 29-32 and my ma, in her 50's. Its a family event so we'll be taking our babies aged 7months and 1 year. We'll be staying one maybe two nights so are looking for somewhere cheap, family friendly but lively. Where is best to go on the island thats not gonna be shut at 9pm as we still want something to do in the evenings.
Thanks.
I love the isle of wight but it isn't really a party place. But then you say you just want a place with entertainment. It also depends what time of year you go. They have plenty of carnivals and evening parades as well as the moped rallies etc in the summer. Also the beaches can be lovely for the kids if weather good, spend a day in the fresh air and you'll be set for...
Im not really sure what you mean by lively on the isle of Wight. There will be clubs and bars in the main towns. Will you have transport then to get to the nicer parts?
Well, we looked into a few hotels that had entertainment of an evening and that mainly consisted of a pianist or a solo artist singing. Not really what we were looking for. But no, no transport.
This may not be your cup of tea,but there certainly seems to be plenty to do by Day(and more importantly)in the Evening too.
The only problem is that I am not sure they do only a couple of nights, but here is the link and you can investigate for yourself?

I agree with Bednobs, not the liveliest place to visit. A bit like going back in time! Have you thought about Brighton? Something for all ages, day and night.

I would agree that a holiday park will offer you the best of everything - even if the entertainment is a bit cheesy, you can still laugh it off and have a great time. I would search holiday parks Isle of Wight and call them up and see what they can offer for a couple of nights - especially if you are at the start or end of the season. Or you could all camp . . .
