Is now te best time toget our Turkish Lira
2 Answers
Hi. With all this euro and Greece making the headlines. Will it have an adverse effect on buying currency over the up and coming days and weeks.
We are off to Turkey 4 weeks today and are unsure what effect Greece and te Euro will have on the market.
The Turkish Lira is on average 2.80 to the pound. Should we grab that now or wait. Are we likely to lose out I we wait or will it get better??
Many thanks for any advise. I don't really understand the effect Greece and the Euro will have on the market.

As of 15/05/2012 @TL2.91 = £1, then it's entirely up to you as to when you exchange your currency, but you'll save a lot of commission rates NOT getting your holiday at the airport.

No idea what effect the euro's woes will have on the lira and sterling - probably not much as neither is in the eurozone. If you click on the different time charts on this page

it looks as if sterling is gradually getting stronger against the lira, which would suggest you should wait a bit. But who knows what will happen tomorrow?
