Cabin Baggage

Tomorrow I'm flying Aer Lingus from Barcelona to Dublin and am only taking cabin baggage. This is the first time I've done this as usually I check-in a suitcase wherever I go and it's the first time I've flown with them so I have a few questions for my fellow abers.
Can I take the following in hand luggage: umbrella, talc, wet wipes, roll-on deodrant
I've prepared my shower gel and shampoo in travel bottles ready.

I've looked on their website and in principal I can but it says talc is their choice. Does anyone have any experience of flying with them.

Roll on will have to be in a clear bag with the others. I can't see a problem with the rest.

The roll-on deodorant might be classed as a liquid, so I'd put that in with the gel and shampoo.

I've never took talc though. The worse that will happen is they'll confiscate it. Dublin sell talc though :-)

While individual airlines can, of course, impose their own additional restrictions on cabin baggage, the basic rules are the same throughout the EU. (Individual airline rules are far more likely to be concerned with the size of your cabin bag, rather than with its contents).

So there should be no reason why you can't take anything on your list, with the only proviso being that (because it contains liquid, but in a quantity less than 100ml) your roll-on deodorant must be inside the same (20cm x 20cm) clear plastic bag as your shower gel and shampoo.

some airlines let you carry the umbrella as a separate item, but it doesn't look as if Aer Lingus does.

As long as your deodorant is under 100ml, you can carry it as one of your clear-bagged items, as a general rule. I tend to buy the tiny travel spray deos for flight travel. If they take it off you, you can always buy the item again, airside.
