If you are going to Carnival, get off at Ladbroke Grove on hammersmith and city line, or Notting Hill gate on Circle line from Victoria, Then ask for directions to portobello road you can also get a number 52 bus from Victoria to Notting Hill gate, probably better than the train cos you will go past Ken gardens and Hyde Park, if you then want to go to edgware road get train from ladbroke grove to edgware road, hope that is clear enough for you, enjoy it, but watch your pockets, lots of scallys about.
