From George Best (Belfast City) Airport, there are no suitable destinations:

That leaves Belfast International Airport. To arrive somewhere fairly hot, you need to go a fair way south but, to keep the flying time down, not very far east. Looking at the destinations map, the first fairly hot area you can reach is around Barcelona:

Barcelona itself is a fantastic city, with great beaches, superb restaurants, both quiet and lively bars, plenty of history and loads to see and do.You should be able to get cheap flights because there are three operators on that route:
Jet2.com

Aer Lingus

If you'd prefer to book a package, using charter flights, you might want to consider the Costa Dorada. AirTours, Direct Holidays, First Choice, Panorama Holidays, Thomas Cook and Thomson Holidays all offer package deals, with flights into Reus.
A further alternative is the Costa Brava. AirTours and Direct Holidays offer package deals, with flights into Gerona.
easyJet quotes 2 hours 40 minutes for the flight duration from Belfast International to Barcelona El Prat. All other flights, referred to above, will have roughly similar flight times.
