Booking one way flight back to UK
4 Answers
Hi - Does anyone know of a website where I can book a one way flight back from Kefalonia to UK. No problem when we needed a one way flight out in May but can't find a one way flight back! Thanks.

Arrive Gatwick 1335.
207 per person.
That appears to be the final charter flight of the season with Monarch:
http://flights.monarch.co.uk/
Or:
Tomorrow, 1445 ex Kefalonia, arrives Luton 1620, 66.71
Thursday, 1240 ex Kefalonia, arrives Manchester 1430, 61.71
Thursday, 1600 ex Kefalonia, arrives Gatwick 1730, 71.71
4 Sept (Th), 1240 ex Kefalonia, arrives Manchester 1430, 116.71
Those look like the final flights of the season with ThomsonFly:

Those appear to be the last direct flights available in 2008. That's based upon searching all of the relevant airlines listed here:

Your only alternative would appear to be to travel via Athens. Aegean are relatively expensive for flights in the near future. (e.g. 369 + taxes this Friday) but quite cheap later on. (e.g. 157 + taxes on Sunday, 28 September). Their flights typically have a 3 hour connecting time in Athens, before taking you on to Stansted.

Olympic are also quite expensive for 'short notice' flights but they're offering 165 for Kefalonia-Athens-Manchester later on. (I tried a random date in October).

. . . and a very big 'thankyou' to you, Medsecslave. I reckon that well over 90% of these type of questions (where I try to research routes and fares) never receive any feedback. So I don't know whether my answer has been helpful or not.
Aegean's fares on the Kefalonia-Athens-Stansted route, in the 1st week of October are as follows:
2nd 203
4th 203
5th 176
7th 120
Those fares exclude taxes and charges, totalling 41.02 in every case.
Like you, I can't find anything with Olympic into London. Here are the fares into Manchester:
2nd 190
6th 165
Both of those flights involve long (daytime) layovers in Athens. There are also flights departing on the 3rd & the 5th but they both involve overnight layovers. Taxes and charges are also higher, at 82.02
Unless Stansted is really inconvenient for you, it looks as Aegean is your best bet.
