I am going to Malaysia for 10 weeks, trekking across the jungle. I need to buy some good sturdy boots (fabric, not leather - as they dry quicker) and a 70-80 litre backpack.
Does anyone know any good places where I can buy them (preferably being a good value as well :-) ). Anywhere around east london (i'm from Barking & Dagenham) would be best, but I'm willing to travel into/away from London. I also go to Gillingham regularly.
Thank you

Wherever you get the boots... buy them asap so you can break them in fully before you hit the trails... I did a jungle trek with newish boots and it was fekkin agony :-(

I'm off in July, so I have a while to break them in. It's just that I don't know of any reputable places to buy them from - if I try to buy from a shop without any recommendations, I know I'll probably choose one that'll be charging extortionate prices or selling bad quality goods!
There's a small shop called Nomad Travel right opposite Turnpike Lane tube station on the Piccadilly Line. Not only do they have a huge selection of the sort of stuff you'll need, they'll organise all vaccinations and everything else for you. I should say I am nothing to do with them, just a satisfied customer.

Have a great trip
Keswick in the Lake District is the best place to buy boots and a backpack. Temple Sports has a specialist boot shop which is wonderful and fantastic prices too. I have a very broad foot and a high instep and I bought a pair a boots there last year which I wear at every opportunity. It may seem like a long way to go but you could buy them then break them in at the same time? There a re so many specialist walking shops in Keswick that you will find everything you need there at very competetive prices.
Actually, it is really so careful process to buy a backpack from online. there are a lot of backpack website to buy from online. you can read the total review before buy it.
