Virgin Atlantic Travel Vouchers.....any one else had trouble?

After a flight delay last year from Barbados, Virgin Atlantic offered a friend and I 'Select Vochures' to use on a return flight to anywhere in the world but Australia....However,
I am trying to redeem them,and have planned a trip back...
i have been trying to redeem them against a flight for the last two weeks now,

I have proof that the vouchers have been received buy there ticketing depatment, yet they are still saying they havent got them, therefore, it feels as they are dragging their heels...

Am i right in thinking this was a con all along?
Has anyone else had this trouble?
