Granimosity

Please don't get cross if I re-post a question which was asked a while ago.  It wasn't answered then but I am hoping somebody who knows will see it this time. 

 Granimosity is a word which was invented/used first in a Christmas book - by whom?

If you want to keep a question current, why not post an answer in the old one (so it doesn't come up as "unanswered"), then re-post it.
Those of us going through "unanswered" to see if we can help only see the question once then.
