easyjet hand luggage

i have just checked the hand luggage sizes on easyjet website as i am going skiing for a weekend and don't want to pay for extra luggage,i am surprised how large the hand luggage measurements are,56x45x25cm.has anyone taken just handluggage,it just seems large compared to the orange cages they have at airports to check the size of your bag is ok.

I have been on easyjet several times. The 25cms is quite narrow really but if thats what they quote and thats what youve got then its ok! It helps if the bag is a bit squishy in my opinion,and check the weight -they get you to hold it up in front of them and if youre struggling then they probably check it!

I have also travelled on Easy Jet and their hand luggage has no weight restriction as long as you can put it in the overhead locker - get down the gym and swing those weights!!!!!

I think the size of their permitted hand luggage used to be a bit smaller than other airlines' but they have increased it. It's now the same as BA. I think this is also the standard size for the cages at airports. (And it's a common size for baggage makers to work to.)
