praise for National Express trains
4 Answers
yesterday I travelled from Stratford East London to Darsham Suffolk for a day trip to visit friends, with my husband who is reg blind and very slow in walking and I am past my prime. We arrived in plenty of time for the 9.38 am train but unfortunately it overshot the platform and no one was allowed to board.the announcement on the tannoy was to take the next train to Shenfield and change there, we did this, but because we were very slow in changing platforms the train left without us. We went to ask staff for help and a guy called Matthew sprang into action after telling us our next connection would not be for two hours, we were resigned to a long wait. Back comes Matthew the only question he asked was did we have booked seats- yes we did, we had booked two weeks ago and had got the amazing price of £18 each return, he then put us on the next train to Ipswich and in Ist class and asked the guard to keep an eye on us and said we would be met at Ispswich and there a taxi would be waiting to take us to our destination, we couldnt believe our ears ! and they did meet us and the taxi was there and it took us to our friends front door at Darsham. Well done National Express we cant thank you enough.
