Next week I am going on a med cruise with most of the calls in the Euro zone. However 2 calls will be at Split and Dubrovnik,
Can anyone tell me if the local currency is necessary or can I make do with Euros.
My purchases are likely to be taxi fares, lunches, coffees and souvenirs.
Would appreciate your guidance

Hiya
I think we did the same cruise as you last year. We changed a small amount when we called at Spit. Plenty of cash machines around. We had a great time
Enjoy your cruise!
Best idea is just to go to an ATM and draw out what money you need - if you have 2 calls then what you don't spend in Split you can spend in Dubrovnik. Lucky you - Croatia has a beautiful coastline.
