We are looking to book a cottage in Cornwall for 1 week in April. As we don't know any of the area, we would like some recommendations from fellow ABers who have holidayed in Cornwall.

TIA.

Morning muchlovex.. we've been to Newquay, and Bude... very nice but pretty busy..even this time of year..and out of season!... Also been to Looe & Polperro, which are still fairly busy at times.. but much more Quaint, very pretty.. laid back, loads of nice walks if you like that type of thing. Hope you have a nice holiday! x
Looe is one of my favourite places in Cornwall but there are so many to chose from. Daymer Bay is lovely. It's quite secluded and the beach is beautiful.
Been going here www.forda.co.uk for years. Lovely accomodation, very peaceful and relaxing and just a mile or so from the nearest village!

This is the company we've used the last few times .. always been very good x
My sister got married in Looe 18 months ago and they had their reception at the Barclay House Hotel, so we all stayed there over night. There is a hotel but also seperate little chalets. We were treated so well I would really recommend it to anybody. The owners were so welcoming and the rooms were modern and immaculate. There is a lovely terrace for drinks and meals too. Have a look at the site.

Try Blue Chip Holidays muchlove - they specialise in that cottages in that part of the country. Try St Just and Sennen Cove.

Polperro was nice - again, near Looe.
Looe. Beautiful scenery, beautiful cottages. Lovely town centre, very interesting too. And it's a fantastic place to go on long, scenic walks!
You have to be careful about what accommodation you're renting out though. I went there a few years ago and stayed in what was described as a 'villa', but it turned out to be a chalet with no heating and stone floors :S Totally diddled.
Devon is much nicer :-)
I really don't know why but when I think of Devon, I think of old people.
Devon is beautiful, as is Dorset. All 3 counties are worth visiting ml.
