I will be spending some time in southend on bank holiday monday can anyone tell me apart from the pier what are the attractions i should not miss in southend

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.Don't know if you have kids but attractions suitable for families are: I am assuming it is still there, but on the seafront is Peter Pans Playground which is like a permanent based funfair, the rides don't accept money, you have to buy vouchers or bands, is very popular with the kids, there is also a Sealife centre which I seem to remember was pretty good. It has been a few years since I went last :(
