Nah
Unless at the beginning of a sentence (The), the Broads...
Little t, capital B.

the Norfolk Broards as it is a place name and you wouldn't say The Thames Estuary but the Thames Estuary or the Lake District not The Lake District, unless the The was at the start of a sentence of course.
I like Broads ! ;-)
I would go with 'The Broads'
Yes the Norfolk Broads is correct
Crikey molly, you should be able to tell this lot. After all you are still at school, most of the above posters left school 60 years ago.
How very dare you?!
good gracious how insulting, it was 39 years and 6 months I will have you know!

I agree. I haven't left anywhere 60 years ago.
I was just starting school 60 years ago

And wouldn't it be more gentlemanly to say : 'The Ladies'?

I refuse to call them the Norfolk Broads when part of it (my part!) is in Suffolk!
Rewrite the atlas, molly, good thinking.

I'm not though, everyone knows the broads are partly in Suffolk, aren't they trying to move the county borders though?
Question Author
I knew there wer plans for Lowestoft to become Norfolk but what about the rest of Waveney like Beccles, that's partly on the river, if that stays in Suffolk god knows which county I'd be in . . .
Depending upon the approach, Mamya, sea charts amy be more accurate than atlas.
Actually I never knew part of the (Norfolk) Broads was in Suffolk but I'm not everyone. I've only ever heard of the Norfolk Broads - presumably they are superior? ;-)
