I'm thinking of visiting the Eden Project on Friday.

I've looked on their website but I cannot find any info about how long you should allow for a visit. I accept that this is a 'how long is a piece of string' question, but are we looking at a half or whole day?

I'm just wondering if I should find something/somewhere else to fill the day.

Thanks Marval, I didn't get beyond the 'Plan your visit' page.

I'm staying in a place I can neither pronounce nor spell!
I Have never been, enjoy your day

DTC, if there is a village with a strong craft bent then I would be interested in visiting. I like art and ceramics in particular.
I visited the Eden Project in February for the first time. If you really want to make the most of it you need at least a whole day (I am already thinking of returning to spend more time on the bits I am most interested in).

If you want to go up to the observation platform at the top of the tropical Biome you may have to queue for a while, but even without that, you'll find plenty to occupy you for an entire day.
We went last September and we were there best part of a day. I would advise taking water with you for when you do go in the tropical biome - it's bloody hot in there !!!!!

I'm free from 09.00hrs so will be able to have a gentle amble around before finding a charming hostelry to rest my aching feet on the way back to the hotel to meet Mr Cake who will have been on an adventure of his own.

Thanks for the tip about water, I rarely travel without a bottle in my bag and will make sure I am suitably equipped.

Just need to think of sommthing to amuse ourselves on Thursday before we have lunch at Jamie's Fifteen in Watergate Bay. Any suggestions?
Oh definitely a whole day to have a wander. I'm sure the ticket allows you to return again too. Plenty of water, go to the Rainforest biome before the Mediterranean biome, you'll welcome the much needed fresh air!

Hope you have a great day.... don't forget to build a den! :)
I took 3-4 hours but if I'd been really into botany or gardening it could easily have been a whole day. Depends on your level of interest. But it's a fascinating place.
I hope you are fit, as there is a long steep hill to the Domes and you may have to park some distance from your car if you don`t get there early. Have a nice day if you go.
when we went, the ticket we bought allowed returns for a whole year!! We went in December, it was very quiet and we spent a leisurely morning there, had lunch and then went off elsewhere...it was lovely.
