Cheap Cigars in Normandy

Does anyone know any good places to buy cigars in Normandy. I am looking for a good range and good value. Perhaps a good Tabaconist or a big Hypermarket. Cherbourg area and south to Brittany.

P.S To my sister who no doubt will find this post in her daily trawl through AB; NO I haven't started smoking cigars again. My elderly neighbour has asked us to get him some when we are in France.

How are you entering France, andrew? My OH goes to Europe quite often and he finds reasonable tobacco prices in the superstores outside Calais, places like Pidou.

Ferry to and from Cherbourg. I can't rember seeing any Hypermarkets around Cherbourg last time I visited.

Incidentally, it's illegal to bring in tobacco imports for others (without paying UK taxes) unless they're bona fide gifts. If you're being paid for them (even if you don't make a profit), HMRC regard it as smuggling.

Thanks Chris, I didn't know it was illegal to buy for others when there was no financial gain.
I better smoke them myself then!!! It will be a big job to get through over 100 cigars so I best get on with it....................
