Mrs McM is taking me the Aldeburgh on the weekend before I go in for my op. Any recommendations on hotel and eating out.....no expense spared?

McM...what op are you having?
I think he's having the Burka removed Squad ! :-))))
Question Author
sqad....mitral valve repair/replace and bypass.
redman...LOL

I think it may well be a cardiac procedure red, as in recent thread he has mentioned bye-pass ......I think.
McM.....right .....piece of cake.......no worries there.
The Brudenell used to be very good McM (though expensive) or the White Lion has a good reputation.
Burkha King?
Question Author
Thanks sqad, but I'm beginning to brick it.
Thanks salla, have also heard of the Wentworth.....any good?
Question Author
lol mrs_o.
McM....LOL....I know............so would I being on the receiving end........I am scared of the dentist.

My response is based on the reaction of the surgeon who won't give it a second thought.

Did you watch the TV series Monroe?
A colleague of mine went to the Wentworth earlier this year - isn't it also a golf/country club? They thought it was really nice (and she is particularly fussy).
Question Author
No haven't watched Monroe. I've got an excellent surgeon who trained under Magdi Yacoub and now leads the Brompton & Harefield cardiac and transplant depts.
Ye'll be rite McM - you're in good hands.

I loved Monroe by the way.
Question Author
salla the golfing one is in Surrey.
Good luck for the op BTW xx
McM....that says it all..........you can't be in better hands. Now shut up and don't be a sissy ;-)
Question Author
Thanks mrs_o and sqad. I'm worried about post op as I will need to stay clear of AB as coughing coffee over the keyboard and psml will not be ideal for healing. lol
All the very best for next week McMouse and come back to AB soon x
There is a Wentworth in Aldeburgh - the one I'm thinking of being also a golf resort is the Thorpeness. So I wasn't too far wrong ;-)

I always go on TripAdvisor for tips, but if you like the look of somewhere or have a personal recommendation, then go for it, whatever TA says.
Best wishes McMouse for a speedy recovery, sounds like you are in very good hands.

PS To all others, I thought Monroe was great too.
