Parent and child parking spaces

Why are these spaces always nearest the door of supermarkets? Is it because when you become a parent you lose the use of your legs?

No...it's because the parents might have to unload babies, as well as toddlers...buggies...changing bags...

No....but it's easier to get to the supermarket the closer to the door you are. With a few kids in tow...it's also safer.

It's less bothersome if you can do this closer to the entrance than on the other side of the car-park.......

Have you done much shopping, on your own, with small children, dave ?

Trim - when they stop flinging the door open and denting the car next to you :-)

it also prevents young children getting hit by cars navigating though the carpark if they are closer parked to the supermarket, some bays also double up as extra disabled bays at some stores.

And baby/toddler trolley's tend to be kept by the door.....just like the disabled ones..

I once parked in Tesco's P&C in error, I was 62 and had my 94-year-old mother with me! I've seen some very old "children" abusing the system.

in my opinion once they get over the age of no road sense and no pushchairs they should park in the normal bays
