Google maps and distance

Is there anyway I can directions from here to here is OK. But when leaving the road to walk down a path without a road it cannot calculate. I only want it to calculate the distance of the non road route is there anything else that I can use.

Nope, not on google maps.

You can use google earth (the downloadable version of maps you install on your computer) and the ruler tool set to path and draw the route you want to take to figure it out.
