How do you enter a house of commons select committee room in a conspicuous
striped jersey carrying an even more conspicuous plateful of shaving foam ?
It's supposed to be one of the most secure buildings in the land at a time of heightened security .
How many people who have been summoned to a H.O.C. select committee for a grilling are afforded the privilege of having their wives sitting right behind them , only slightly offset to the side in order to be perfectly posed for the t.v. cameras ?
Was the whole thing a deliberately staged charade ?

I would guess he had covered the plate in clingfilm (which he later removed) and secreted it under his jumper or somewhere
