Crappy Customer Service
9 Answers
About 10 minutes ago I posted a moan about the CS in Tesco on another thread.
Just after I did this I got a call from one of our subbies saying the Travelodge I had booked him into for tonight needed to be changed to a different one. So I called Travelodge customer services and asked if it was possible to transfer my booking to a different hotel. When the woman on the phone simply said, "no", I asked if there was a reason in a very polite manner and got the response, "I don't know, I didn't write the policy". I just thought the reply and the tone of voice she used was so rude. I thanked her for her help and hung up.
Don't the individuals who work for companies give a monkeys at all about how they come across to their customers?

BT is the shining light for me in crappy customer service, I once spent over two hours on the phone to them when all I wanted to do was buy broadband and calls. Then at the end of it all I had to cancel it all and start again because the line wasn't installed according to them even though I was looking at it at the time. I hate to think how long it takes to complain.
I once stayed in a hotel in Newquay & my wife & myself joined another couple in the lift which got stuck between floors when the lift was eventually winched down back to ground floor the female manager was awaiting us & as we stepped out she said '' there should only be 4 people in this lift at any one time''I looked at her in amazement & said very slowly watch my lips & I counted 1,2,3,4. She flounced off without saying another word.

Complain, milly - she might be having a bad day, but it's her job to be civil. There is a relocation policy here at point 9. and the last para tells you where to complain to. http://www2.travelodge.co.uk/terms/
