We're looking at booking a well earned 2 week holiday somewhere is Europe.

Is there anywhere where there'll be fairly decent weather in October?

Thank you

canaries, greek islands, cyprus
We went to Turkey (Marmaris) in October a few years back and it was a scorching 42dgrs, you couldn't walk on the beach without flipflops the sand was that hot. It was great for me because I love the heat but others found it really uncomfortable.
Definitely Greece orTurkey
Cyprus, have been the last three years in October and had fantastic weather. Not too hot just right around 25 degrees
Have been to Malta in Septmber and it was very hot, so I guess would be much the same in October(maybe a little cooller-but still hot)
Maybe just lucky, but a couple of years ago, my wife and I spent 6 days in Rome at the beginning of November and we were going around in shirtsleeves. Another plus was that in October/November, there are very few tourists so you can get into most places with practically no queuing.
I agree Cyprus, I have been many times then and the weather is lovely
Southern Italy is lovely in October, my family live there and I often go September/October even November as conewood said. The Canaries, Greece, Turkey and Cyprus are usually very hot at that time of year too.

Also, does it have to be Europe? We went to California last October and it was a scorcher. Gorgeous weather.
Malta, still hot enough to swim in the sea in October.
Sometimes in October, you can find that as the main tourist season stops, a lot of places shut so can be a bit too quiet or restricted where you can eat or shop. For some this isn't a problem and how they would prefer it, but just thought I would point it out.
I've been to the Algarve (Portugal) many times in October and it's always been very warm. Enjoy yourselves.
Hi, I,m From the Uk but live in Athens. I can definately recommend Greece for October. Enjoy your hols wherever you go!
I think in spain you will get some sunny shores. Besides that, you can try Turkey also. However, no shore in Europe is as sunny as the shores in Asia or Africa. Australia is also not a bad choice.
Be careful which Greek Islands you visit in October - do your research well as some start to get very wet and cool from mid September onwards. Crete and Rhodes always stay hotter for longer..........whereas Thassos and even Corfu can be dicey....
