Weird girl in Southampton

Does anyone in Southampton recognise a girl who often wanders around the food court in the West Quay centre, and the Burger King/McDonalds/KFC branches in the city centre on Above Street?

She's above 5ft2in, wears a dark blue tracksuit, and from behind looks about 12. Only thing is, she has the face of someone about 35. Wears glasses, and always asks what the kids meals are in a really quiet voice. Me and my mates think its the strangest bloody thing we've ever seen, but then Southampton does have some very stange people.

Please, stop being so judgemental - if you haven't tried to have a chat with her, don't be impolite and just judge her by her physical appearance. Come on, try being a little generous with your words and say 'hello' or whatever but don't write her off as strange, different You know there might be a very good reason...

I hope when she gets home in the evening she tells her husband all about this rude man at the food court and they laugh at you because whatever she chooses to wear or however loud she speaks she has manners.

No I don't, silly moo - I was talking about his choice of words which immediately put the lass into a neat little box as she doesn't appear to fit in with the norm. But, Andy if I have upset you it was certainly not my intention and I think silly moo, you are being very thin-skinned - I'm glad my choice of words weren't going your way!

Southampton is well known for child labour that�s why she looks 35 and is 12 searching for the kids meals in Burger King, KFC, Mc Donald�s, hang on if you see her in all these places how do we know your not stalking her?. Why not offer her a complete makeover kind Andy008 at your expense and then she will fit in with the norm! Is there such a thing?

What a sheltered existence you must have led Andy008 to need to write about this lady on here.  The world is full of people of who stand out for some reason or another.  I expect we could all pick out quite a few that live around our areas.  Probably it's me where I live!  Students can look extremely strange as well (and certainly act it)  I think you need to grow up.  Sorry.

I have to agree with everyone, just because someone is different and stands out from the crowd doesn't mean you can pick on them for your own amusement. 

We have a local guy in our town (looks a bit like Catweasel) who is a bit strange and we affectionately refer to him as the local  eccentric. I recently found out that due to family problems at some point in his history he had a breakdown of some kind, prior to which he was a well respected surgeon. I have since spoken to him and although he is a bit slow he comes across as a very intelligent  man. So never take anyone at face value. :-)

Incidentally Andy008, if that is that how old you are, maybe we can forgive you.

  we have some people who live in our town who arent all there, we call them odd-bods. its not their fault that they are not functioning on the same wave length as the rest of the population, but i love these people, its what makes a town a town.  we have this one man who everyone calls 'tunnage' he picks old food out of bins and shouts at the top of his voice 'tuuuuuuuunnnnaaaaaaaaaagggeeee' and asks people if they lick bums, he is now on medication so he is more quieter. we also have cedrick the tranvestive, radio ledger, and merry easter george, the list goes on...but thats boston 4 u

We used to have a girl in the town I used to live in who was called 'Space Cadet'.  She was very disturbed and not quite all there.  My mother used to take her in and feed her up because she was as skinny as a rake.  I heard her talking in about 10 different voices once; she was schizophrenic.  I later found out that she had been to India and a cult brainwashed her.  I'm happy to say that she's fully recovered now!  It also turned out that she was the sister of TVs Johnny Vaughan (whose parents lived in my old town).
