Lisbon

Has anyone been to Lisbon? I am going there for a week in June to stay with some friends, I got a Time Out guide and it doesn't exactly rave about the place! I'm sure I'll have a good time anyway as I'll be in a group of mates but it was a bit surprising when I read the book � there were loads of sarcastic comments and it suggested that you shouldn't "expect too much" etc�

i have to agree - i was disappointed, though i only had a brief stopover there, it was rainy and it was a Sunday so the town was totally dead.

i'm sure your friends must like it if they live there. and i'm sure they've discovered some really good stuff to do, probably off the touristy beaten track.
