Hi,

What is the minimum check-in time on transatlantic flights from the UK prior to departure? Does this vary from airline to airline or is it defined by UK legislation?

Thanks,

I think that it varies from airline to airline, but most suggest 3 hours, no doubt to kep themselves covered in the case of delays.

Thanks... I know what they advise, but I'm trying to find the actual legal requirement (if there is one) - it's to do with a complaint about an airline closing the desk early.
This is normally determined by airline policy - not sure about US carriers, but Singapore and Cathay Pacific are very strict about 40 minutes before take off the system will not accept check ins.
