Thomas Cook flights
Does anyone know if there is any particular cheap time to book the above flight? We have decided to go to Fuerteventura in May and have booked the villa. I've done hours of searching for flights and the only one that suits is a Thomas Cook one from Manchester. So do I book now or wait and hope they might have a sale or something?

However, are you sure that you've checked all six airlines flying to Fuerteventura? Here's a list:
BMI: East Midlands & Manchester
easyJet: Bristol, Liverpool & Gatwick
Monarch: Birmingham & Manchester
Ryanair: Birmingham, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Prestwick, Leeds/Bradford, Liverpool, Luton, Stansted & Bournemouth
Thomas Cook: Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, East Midlands, Glasgow, Gatwick, Manchester, Aberdeen, Stansted & Newcastle
Thomson: Birmingham, Bristol, East Midlands, Glasgow, Gatwick, Manchester
Luton & Stansted.

Thanks guys, we live in Wakefield so nearest airport is Leeds/Bradford and we can obviously do other localish airports too. I've checked all those airlines Chris apart from BMI but its the times that dont suit with the others. We want to fly out there in morning so arrive in afternoon not at night (as travelling with a terror 2yr old lol and a 7yr old). Annoying thing is I checked with TC last week and it said they had a sale on then but we hadnt booked the villa so didnt want to commit. Checked again the next day and the price had gone up!
Be warned! If you search online for flights, and return to a website you've already visited, don't be surprised to find that the price has gone up. This is done deliberately to make you panic and make the booking in case the price goes up even more. But this is actually a sneaky ploy designed to induce you to buy, and it's commonly used throughout the travel industry. The site will have left a cookie on your computer, and it knows that you are re-visiting and so bumps the price up. To get around being shown the increased price, simply remove your computer's cookies before revisiting the website.

Of course you can book with two different airlines. Lots of people do exactly that. (The only exception would be with charter flights, where you have to book returns because the rules don't permit single flights to be offered).
Those who use public transport to get to the airport (or who get lifts from friends) often chose to depart and arrive using different UK airports. (Similarly, people travelling to, say, Barcelona might fly out to Girona with Ryanair - and then take the bus - and back from Barcelona with easyJet). I've even known people to leave their car at Heathrow, from where their departure flight took off, but to fly back into Gatwick and then take the inter-airport coach to get back to their car.
Being flexible is the best way to find the bargains!
