where to eat in edinburgh?

Hi, Im off to Edinburgh next weekend with a friend, can anybody recommend a nice restaurant to eat on a saturday night in edinburgh centre?? not too flash or expensive, and preferably with cocktails! thanks x

I like Browns and Le Monde hotel - they are quite fancy so might consider flash but often they have offers on so you could check their websites. Both do nice cocktails.

hi anderlee, i can recommend one place, its a seafood place, called Mussel inn, but as its popular, either book a table or get there early, its in rose st. another option is a bar on the same street dont know the name but its on the left as opposed to mussel inn being on the right. This bar does quite yummy lunches, but not sure about the evenings.

theres also quite a good italian in west coates. sorry dont know the name, they did do 10 quid specials last year. between 18.00 - 21.00
