i am thinking of selling up and moving from south wales to somewhere.... anywhere else ..... so my question is .... if you could move anywhere where would you go in the british isles?
I would love to live in a scottish croft by a loch (but would have to all mod cons) computers and suchlike, or on a small scottish island - don't ask me why - just appeals to me.
Sounds a bit humdrum compared to the others, but why not Bristol? The wage levels are good, there is a varied choice in the job market. Social-wise, it has upmarket Clifton, good shopping at the Mall, and lots of live music gigs.It has improved enormously over the last ten years i.e infrastructure, appearance , amenities. You'd be close to Wales if you need to return to visit friends/family etc.
I live in Swansea and like you am totally fed up living down here. If I did move though, it would have to be somewhere on the coast. The only thing Swansea has going for it are the beaches. Good luck.
I'd go to Edinburgh because it's just as lively as London but houses, nights out etc... are a lot cheaper. Oh, and the Scottish accent is always a bonus!
Have to admit Edinburgh is a top choice whenever i have been there before have always had a really good time and the people are so friendly and welcoming and ur right the accent is a definite bonus how sexy is that accent ding dong! lol
Having just come back from a weekend in the Cotswold, I would say there! the brick they use to build properties looks great and it's very pretty. Not Far from London, Wales and the Midlands.
Come and live in Norfolk. We're not all carrot crunchers you know! I live on the coast in a sleepy village. The bright lights are near by and the peace and tranquility is on my doorstep. AND don't actually know anyone who has been a victim of ANY KIND OF CRIME. It's so laid back it's horizontal
