... a christmas tree by the 1st weekend of december? Say the 3rd or 4th? I have folk coming to stay with me from Cardiff and want to make it all christmassy for them. I don't normally get my tree until 1 or 2 weeks before.
n.b. This refers to a real living tree - none of that artificial rubbish.
Good Lord no - that would be too scary. Just his niece, her husband and the baby. If I invited his sister, I'd have to have a JCB come in, then professional domestic cleaners round, or book up a fancy hotel room.
Sophie - I didn't mean that a root ball would be too scary. Posts interrupted !!
We used to go to a place called Marholm near Peterborough who grew their own trees, but they didn't have any last year. I suppose if I'm putting one up on the 3rd, I do need the roots still on don't I?
I have a big one. (Lounge). Like I said, I don't usually get it up until a week before Christmas, but this is a treat for the young 'uns. I'm having a family 'do', and there will be my 15 week old Scarlett Sunshine, a 16 month old and a 2 year old, so want lots of sparkly spangly things.
I wish I could get mine up a week before Christmas, but Mrs McM thinks Xmas Eve is soon enough. I've got a spare fairy for the top if you want it salla.
