I recently flew to the Uk with Ryanair, but the flight was delayed by 2 1/2 hours.
Should i expect some sort of compensation? be it money or flight vouchers?
I have filled out a complaints form, but not sure if it was to the correct dept. I emailed [email protected]

thanx in advance

I think that would be entirely dependent upon the nature of the delay.

Are Ryanair particularly noted for paying compensation promptly and without being told to?
It should have covered this in any terms and conditions on the website when you booked your ticket or any paperwork.
Not for 2.5 hours it is highly unlikely
Read your T&C's

for what it's worth, jack, when Ryanair cancelled my flight (because of volcanoes) they instantly emailed me a form to request my money back, and I got the money in a couple of weeks.

I was surprised too...
For a short delay, don't think so. Perhaps a free use of toilets on next flight?
Ryanair.....

Not a chance in hell.
It depends on the length (distance-wise) of the flight and the reason for the delay
No chance. Terms and conditions say they will get you from A to B (it doesn`t even have to be on their aeroplane and in fact, it doesn`t even have to be on an aeroplane at all). US law has tightened recently regarding delays but in the UK no chance.
OK (grossly oversimplified):

If the flight was less than 1500 kilometers EU regs say you are entitled to 250 euro a head compensation for a 2.5 hour delay

If it was over 1500 km then the delay has to be 3 hours before anything is payable

However, the ruling under which this applies is being challenged by UK airlines and UK courts will not enforce it at the moment

Added to which Ryanair wouldn't pay out anyway unless taken to court
