Your ideal kitchen include? And i mean win the lottery money no object.
Mine would be french farm house chabby chic with retro style gadgets, and pull out larder shelves nice table and chairs underfloor heating. Dishwasher a rated appliances nice cooker and plenty of pots n pans!
A dishwasher, decent washing machine and a fancy cooker like the man hostages mum has.... not that I would have a clue on how to use the latter... oh and a wine wrack.
Bit like yours firewatch. I wouldn't have any matching units either and it would have an old shabby sofas and armchairs for people, dogs and cats, a big aga and an old huge table. It would have curtains at the windows and flowers on the windowsills and would smell of cooking. Nothing gleaming and streamlined whatsoever. An old whistling kettle would be on the aga all day. So no lottery money needed but I would need a huge, huge kitchen.
James from Saturday kitchen is apparently up himself and rude in real life and somewhat grumpy. I was so disappointed to find out as he is somewhat yummy and I love him on SK.
Nigel Slater can come in and cook for me. I love his style of cooking.
Nigel Slaters face is one of those that really annoys me. It looks like it's made of plastacine.
I'd want either an ultra modern kitchen with lots of secret fancy little cupboards that pop out or an old farm house type of kitchen with big chucky wood every. And and island. I'd love an island.
I just like his food Evian and his philosphy on food, cooking and life. I don't care about his face. Have you ever read his book 'Toast'! So funny and a best seller.
A kitchen which is comfortable and people can sit around without feeling in the way would be lovely. Modern streamlined kitchens would definitely be out for me. I love cooking and being in the kitchen, it would need to be cosy and welcoming.
I don't know what it is about him, I just don't like him. I only watched his programme once and it even annoyed me how he kept all his food in brown wrapping paper. I can't explain why. I'm far too easily annoyed by insignificant things.
I do like it when kitchens become the social place instead of the lounge so yeah, a big sofa would be a good idea.
the only thing i would change even if i had millions would be a bigger cooker. Its a nightmare when Im cooking in big pans and i cant put two side by side :( Its okay if im just using 2 as i can put them diagonally opposite each other but when Im using 3 they just wont fit :(
That's just it Ankou - kitchens should serve a purpose in my opinion not be a status symbol which is what they have become. Food tasted just as good years ago. Far fewer people actually cook, or even can cook, these days, so half these super kitchens are a complete waste of time.
I'm in a stroppy mood. Better stop posting today I think!
