I was going to book a holiday on the net with Thomas cook. Then I had a query so phoned the contact number, I had a message saying the number had changed so I rang that number. They answered my query and asked if I wanted to book the holiday with them if the could do it cheaper than the web price. They could so I booked there and then thinking it was Thomson, but when I had the e mail confirmation I found out it was through first choice.. I know there linked but will there be any difference to my holiday booking?

Sorry I was booking with Thomson not Thomas cook
Thomson and First Choice are part of the same company but sometimes the weight allowance or extras can be different. Best to check that you are getting same deal, if not try to get it altered straight away and hopefully for no extra charge. First choice do the all inclusive holidays for the group I think.
there will be no difference. the difference in baggage allowance is for where your flying to, e.g long or mid or short haul, not who you book with.
Hi alex, with some companies the baggage allowance is 15 kilos and with others it is 20 as standard. I think this may be the case with these two. Always best to check as it's cheaper to book the extra if you may need it at time of booking.
My only gripe with Thomson is always about the confusion surrounding their baggage allowances. Why they can't standardise them!Even their own website can be contradictory and last May I had to resort to demanding an email confirming 20 kgs. That much said Thomson flights are much more professional in every respect when compared with other 'holiday' airlines.
