Digital Photo Presentation

Don't know if this is the right place for my query but hope someone can help me. I am doing a digital photo presentation at a church group of my travels around the US. To identify the different areas, I would like to insert a picture with some text but don't know how to do this. I am doing the slideshow from my Microsoft Pictures programme and not Powerpoint. Don't know if I've made myself clear but can anyone suggest how I could do this.

OK, so you need to save the text in the same format as the pictures, ie .jpg

One way is to create your text full size in any WP program. Make sure it is all visible on screen. press ALT-PrtScreen.
Open any picure editing program (eg Paint) and select Paste.
Use the crop tool to crop off the window borders.
Choose Save As... and select type .jpg.

Most picture editing software (including 'Paint' has a Text tool that you could use but you may find that more fiddly that what I suggested above.

Thank you, Gen2, for your suggestion. I tried and failed as after typing out the text in WP, I couldn't get a jpeg format to save it in - obviously not doing something right. I'm afraid I've ended up editing in Picassa which allowed me to add captions to a photo. Not the text I wanted to include but it will have to do. Thanks again.

You can have a try of Photo DVD Burner, it can create photo slideshow with text and music.
