Hi, Can anybody tell me the main stations on the St.Pancras to Sheffield line? I'm out of the UK so I cannot do it myself. I need to know because I want to buy a split ticket.

You can check on the calling points for any train by entering your travel details here:
http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/

When the results come up, click on the 'Information' button for a particular train (that's a white 'i' in a blue circle). Then click on 'Show calling points'.

For example, here's what comes up for tomorrow's 0925 departure:

Many thanks to you both for your quick answers.
Don't assume that split ticketing will always produce a lower fare - it doesn't always work.

And if you can get an 'advance single' for the complete journey that normally beats any splits.

There's an alternative route (to follow up your previous question) from Kings Cross rather than St Pancras to Sheffield changing at Retford or Doncaster - this can be quicker and/or cheaper on occasion.
Try looking at the table of Route 19 (scroll down to it) in here

And here

Route: Leeds - Wakefield - Sheffield - Derby - Leicester - London St Pancras
