Brighton or Bath

I have Saturday to myself and fancy a day of indulgence.

Should I go to Bath or Brighton?

OK decision made. Brighton it is. I'll have a bath, put on my fancy dress and head to the lanes to see a big chair.

It's beginning to sound a bit Alice in Wonderland-ish now!

We love Bath but if the weather is nice maybe Brighton would be nicer so you could walk on the beach .....

pebble beaches are an abomination. It's no wonder George IV stayed indoors.

It is ... it's fab.

The little road where The White Rabbit is so narrow, if it's busy you sometimes have to stand and wait before you can walk.

The WR has tables outside, right among the crowd. At first, if looks a bit "public" but, if you can get a seat outside, you're right in amongst the atmosphere.

you do? Ouch! Sandy beaches are the only way. But as I recall Brighton's sand is all covered with water, which was a mistake.

Bring a coat eccles it's a bit chilly. And you could take a walk along the sea front to Hove, we'd love to see you.

If you drive, Eccles, drive down to the sea front (facing the Pier), turn right, about 100yds along you'll see a big hotel called The Thistle. Get into the right hand lane (it feels like you're in the middle of the road), and turn right immediately after The Thistle, so you basically go down the side of The Thistle. When you turn into that side road, in front of you and over to the right you'll see the entrance to an underground car park (opposite Jamie Oliver's on the left side of the road).

It's worth using that car park, because it brings you out right in the middle of The Lanes, and close to the sea front.

Running through the shallows is invigorating. It makes you feel ... well, just "alive". It's like you're really on the edge of our little island.

JJ not sure you saw my post, but thought that might have been you on Brighton beach the other day, it was the most wonderful weather, and there was a bloke sunbathing, thursday 1st of March perhaps a little premature, but good luck to him.

I have a good Chinese pal. She's very pretty. I'm totally jealous. But she doesn't run with me. Or at all, actually.

Also, not blonde. I'm the one with mousey brown hair ... the colour that everyone else is secretly pleased they don't have.

Otherwise, it sounded pretty close. =0)
