Ryanair

I am planning on flying from Venice to Stockholm by Ryanair.

I noticed there is a fare from Venice to Paris, then an hour later a flight from Paris to Stockholm. I've heard that Ryanair has a habit of running late.

Would I be cutting it too fine to take this itenary? I take it that when I board the plane in Venice I can't ask them to simply move my bag from one plane to the other in Paris?

I've had some great trips with Ryanair, but I would be very reluctant to rely on a connecting flight. The problem is not so much running late - I've never had any problems here, and in fact most flights have landed ahead of schedule - but rather rescheduling altogether. It is quite feasible that the flight from Paris to Stockholm is brought forward at short notice, leaving you stuck in Paris. And if you have baggage to collect, one hour is cutting it fine anyway - you have to be at the check-in counter half an hour before take-off, I think (check this - I'm not 100% certain!). This gives you only half an hour to leave the plane, reclaim your baggage and go through security again. Feasible yes, but you need to be able to handle plan B.

And the question about nice, helpful Ryanair staff falling over themselves to move your bags from one plane to the other... I think you answered that one yourself.

Gotland is correct in the Ryanair are generally good at time keeping, mainly becuase their profits reply in that being the case. The problem is their staff are about as unhelpful as they come, so the chances of making the connecting flight will be slim. More recently I have noticed that Ryanair are taking ages to check people in which also creates major problems. Last journey took 1hr 15mins from joining the que.
