In particular, which airports can you fly from. (It's pointless us searching for flights from, say, Aberdeen, if your nearest airport is Newquay!).
If more than one airport is a possibility for you, how are you going to be travelling there? (If you're taking the train, out via Stansted and back via Gatwick might be a sensible option - but it's not much good if you've left your car at Stansted!).
What are your possible outbound dates and how long do you want to stay? If, for example, you're planning on staying for a week, does it have to be 7 nights or could you do 8?.

Thanks for the info.
easyJet, Monarch, Thomson and Thomas Cook are quite a bit more expensive (but see below re Thomson).
Ryanair is around £109, so it might be worth considering whether the final price (i.e. with baggage charges, etc) is much different to that offered by Jet2 (and, of course, seeing which airline has the most convenient flight times for you). It could also be worth looking at whether it makes most sense to travel out with one airline and back with another.
I've checked the websites of both airports (and Wikipedia). They all confirm that the five airlines I've checked (plus Jet2) are the only ones flying from Manchester to Tenerife South.
So it looks like it's a choice between Jet2, Ryanair or, just possibly, Thomson - They offer £129 on a charter flight out on 22/05 and back on 29/05 - If they've got fewer 'extras' than, say, Ryanair, they might not actually be any more expensive in total.

We have just returned from Tenerife to Manchester and paid approx £190 for two return flights with Ryanair. Only trouble is, they don't release their flights till a few months before so they are probably not available to view yet. Don't dismiss Ryanair out of hand because of what you read in the papers. That £190 included 45kgs luggage (10kgs each hand luggage and 15 kgs hold baggage between us). We have used them several times and found them to be no worse than anyone else - and a lot better in many cases
