is this legal?

i live in scotland within north lanarkshire council.
im 48, have separated from husband for a few years, he lives and works down south.
for the past few years i have been private renting but experiences with landlords have been bad, have moved 3 times in the last 18 months first house was sold out from under me and was given 4 weeks to get out.
second one had the landlord from hell - she entered the house when we out, her father looked in the livingroom window 3 times a day, she issued me with a notice to quit saying i refused to allow access to the gas board for annual check - i did refuse because she telephoned me on the sunday evening telling me the gas board was coming the following morning and refused to accept that i was unable to comply due to being on holiday - id taken my grandson to legoland for 4 days.
current landlord is constantly annoying me with texts and telephone calls even though the property is managed by letting company. a few weeks ago on the monday the cistern stopped working (the flapper had broken), so i notified the letting agent and then the text arrived saying that due to clause 5 i was responsible for all internal repairs. next morning - tuesday, got another text saying to ignore previous text. then he phoned demanding to know why the cistern had stopped working, when it had broken and what were we doing in the meantime. on the wednesday received a text from him saying he needed to come and see the damage for himself before contacting a plumber. he came and saw the fault and said that plumber would be on friday @ 4pm. both him and the plumber arrived on the friday and then the plumber said that he was working standby the weekend and would not be able to repair it till monday @ 6pm.
my current lease ends 22nd march and he now says that i can have a renewal on a month to month basis - till he sees that im taking better care of his house. he is unhappy that the grass in the back garden has muddy bald patches due to grandson playing outside. he says he is so angry because the garden was his parents pride and joy. i dont see the problem it only needs some seeds to be as good as new, i have the seeds and am just waiting on the weather improving.
my lease is a joint one with my 24 year old daughter and it was explained that i had care (residence order and parental rights)of 9 year old grandson who has asd. the easter holiday starts on the 30th of this month and the long summer break from school is now in sight - the prospect of having to constantly take wee one out to a park to play is terrifing.
obviously with grandson having asd all this moving is bad for him, he is very unsettled which is making his behaviour even more difficult, it would be so good to have a regular home.
daughter is now starting to resent the wee one and the trouble he causes and has told her father as such(this is the same reason that her father and i are no longer together), his solution is that he could buy a property and rent it to us. but i dont think this will be legal.
i receive lha jointly with daughter, she gets jsa, i get income support, carers allowance, child benefit, child tax credit and dla. i dont have any debt and pay my bills propmtly and have been idependant for a while now and wouldnt want to have regular contact with him, still bitter about him leaving because our grandson has mental health problems.
would this be a feasible option for me to think about?
