i do think this is ridiculous
when you book a flight amongst all the other extras is this..
Seat Selection (per one way flight)
Standard Seat £3.99
Extra leg room seat £8.49
it would make more sense to include the standard seat when booking and then offer the extra leg room at £8.49..
crazy,it make it look likes there's an option to stand for free all the way

the alternative is unselected seating, ie first come first served. But some people like to be sure they're sitting with families etc, so it's an optional extra. EasyJet are talking about doing it all the time
