I think you should be weighed

LOL.....do you mean that I should be weighed OR one should be weighed?
Somewhere near an emergency exit..
Away from the back (you feel the turbulence much more)
If you can`t get the seat by the exit, away from any bulkhead that has kids cots on it (screaming)
I like the window so I can sleep against it but aisle is better to stretch and get out in an emergency.
Away from the loos
Away from the galley (noise)

If the aircraft is divided into sections - the smallest section
As a general rule for long haul flight any of the seats to the left of the entry door are OK.
they put the obese passengers down the back to counterbalance the captain's wallet.
the strongest part of any aircraft is over the wings , fact,
"strongest part"

Do they snap??
deggers.....wouldn't it be a bit cold and windy on the wings?
As long as you don`t mind sitting on the fuel tanks
fuel is in the wings, the belly, and on some aircraft in the tail section too you can get out of the fact your surrounded with kerosene, thats flying for you
CANT get out not CAN, must get my contacts in, but just got up lol
joggerjayne
in most accidents the rear of the plane and the front break off the middle which is formed out of one piece of strong metal material, not the flimsy metal and fibre glass of the front and rear sections
did you know on a DC10 (not in use anymore) the floor in the rear used to dip in the middle when passengers were alighting,
^^ Not to mention "you're", not "your"... ;-)
I like to sit close to the front as there seems to be less turbulence and if you have the engines behind you it is a bit quieter.
on the bus ..........afraid of flying
In the very few air accidents where there have been survivors, they had been sitting at the back. The further back, the better.
