Charges for emailing photos from phone
5 Answers
I have checked my mobile bill and seen I've been charged for a load of MMS photo messages. I very rarely send photos in messages but often send photos from my phone to Facebook via email (I have an email address which uploads them direct to my profile) so this is the only thing I can think they are charging me for.
Is it usual for mobile providers (I'm with Orange) to charge for sending photos via email? I have an unlimited internet and text message iphone tarrif.

The only other possibility for random MMS charges is that most providers convert 'long' text messages from SMS to MMS before sending. Don't know about Orange, but my Vodafone service changes from SMS to MMS once you get over about 300 characters.
I have had problems where a text message looks short enough for SMS but has actually got some hidden 'special' characters buried in it (from a bit of cut/paste) and so goes over the SMS limit and is sent as MMS.
