We are going to Monastir staying on an all inclusive basis in November. As the currency is not available outside Tunisia would it be good idea to take some eurosfor initial use due to the French influence? We hope to see places of interest and hopefully take a least one boat trip so does anyone have any ideas of how much currency we would need for two weeks please

Euros won't be much use. Take plastic and get money out of a wall. Plenty of cash machines, especially at airport.
Depends what souvenirs or gifts you want to buy. Souks are cheap, you can haggle in the markets
