Going to london from Northamptonshire (Rusdhen) what is the cheapest and easiest way ?

3-5 of us want to go to London to see the streets lit up and the shops around Christmas time. What is the easiest and cheapest way of doing this ?

Every year we say we will and never do as I'd need to organize it and to be honest I'm more comfortable getting a plane to a foreign country than going to central London.

Yes, you can used the return part of the ticket untill after midnight the next day so that is why it says that some return journeys start the next day.Last trains back from London normally leave at around 12.30am.

If you are going from Rushden easier to get a train from Kettering to St Pancras (trains every half hour or so - East Midlands Rail) rather than driving all the way to Northampton. Also check with National Express - there may be a coach from Kettering via Rushden, Bedford etc.
